In November the University of Wisconsin Cross Country team finished 7th in the NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, IN, completing another stellar season that began on the trails of Peninsula State Park in August.

Jenny Hadfield of Chicago Endurance Sports and Roy pirRUNg, a USA Track and Field Masters Hall of Famer, have hailed the course as one of the best half marathon courses in the country. Registration for the third annual Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k, a run in Door County’s Peninsula State Park, opens Nov. 1. Door County Half Marathon organizers have posted a new video that takes you through the winding, closed course in Peninsula State Park. May 1st, 2010 marks the 3rd running of the Door County Half Marathon in 100 year old Peninsula State Park. Check out a brand new video talking all about the race. Door County became Runner’s World May 2, as over 1,000 people registered for the second Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5K in Peninsula State Park. |
