Carolyn Smith won Door County’s Fall 50 on Oct. 24 with a time of 6:19:59. Second-place finisher John Storkamp finished a little under 10 minutes behind her with a time of 6:29:08. The finish qualifies Ray as an “A Standard” runner for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Marathon trials. Ilsa Paulson finished first with a time of 2:31:48. Registration for the third annual Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k, a run in Door County’s Peninsula State Park, opens Nov. 1. |
